Rock Star

To say that Nora did beautifully with all the traveling, socializing, sitting quietly while vows were exchanged, driving, name-learning, shopping, and staying up past her bedtime, would be a criminal understatement.

This child was beyond remarkable. And now, thankfully, she is asleep in her own bed (although she really, really wanted to go back to her "hotel room office" tonight when we got off the airplane...after a mere 11 hours in transit).

She had such a great, great time at her uncle's wedding. She ate two pieces of amazingly delicious angel food wedding cake with to-die-for frosting, and then danced her little feet off until 10:00 p.m.! I've never seen a two-year-old dance like she danced.

I only took a few pictures because my camera sucks, but I would say there were about 100 pictures taken of her at the wedding. As we were walking out (Nora barefoot, her hair stuck to her face with sweat), bulbs were flashing by the dozen. Nora held up one hand to cover her face and protested "Don't look!" She was just tired of the paparazzi by the time I dragged her booty off the dance floor.

A good time was had by all. Thankful is the tip of the iceburg.

Here are some really pathetic pictures. Sorry.

We went to the Fort Worth Zoo on Saturday before the wedding. Boy, was that ever a totally different experience than the Chongqing Zoo. Here is Nora sitting on an elephant statue...for whatever reason.

Here she is in her cute dress with her pony tails...which she took out shortly after uncle Mark and auntie Madeline were pronounced man and wife.

Here is Nora with her gorgeous cousin. Nora LOVES her and talks about her pretty much all the time, even when we're home.

And here is Nora's new favorite mode of transportation

The aftermath...
